Phasmids

We keep many different species of Stick Insect or Phasmid, and Sami is a member of the Phasmid Study Group, an Organisation devoted to research and study of Phasmids. They give each species that they catalogue an identification number – the PSG number. This is a more reliable way of identifying species as Scientific names can be mis-spelled and common names can vary.

These are some of the species that we keep here at Mason Exotics, this list can change depending on what species we have sourced and what has hatched. We will try and keep it as up to date as possible.

Excess insects that we have available will be listed in our available section. Invertebrates can be safely posted (they are very well packaged) or they can be collected from our tables at shows if we have one.

O = Ova or Eggs
N = Nymphs
A = Adults (normally laying)

Some of these species (noted with * ) came from the Phasmid Study Group, therefore are only available to other PSG members. Where we have obtained them from more than one source, some will be made available to non members for a small cost.

You can join the Phasmid Study Group here. Not only for access to livestock, not just from us but other members as well, but the PSG newsletter gives you great information and articles written by other members.
