Nezumi is Rat in Japanese

 

This little guy does not like being handled at the moment, so we are getting him used to it by holding him with a hook.

This seems to calm him down, and makes handling less stressful for the snake, and more pleasureable for the handler.

 

'Taming' a snake, or more closely, getting the snake used to being handled, so they tolerate it without being scared and defensive is a slow process, but done patiently can be very rewarding.
