Hypo

Also known as Ghost, the Hypo mutation has many different varieties. As with Corn Snakes, Hypomelanism is the reduction of black pigment in their colouration. They appear washed out, and almost ghost-like. In combination with other genes, it has a brightening effect.

It is a recessive gene, so must be present in both parents for it to be shown in the offspring.

We are working with two different strains, which we treat as separate morphs – Orange Ghost and Peach Ghost.

We are also working with it in combination with other genes, such as Granite, Mojave and Pastel.
