Uno

On the 19th July 2008, Tallulah finally gave birth. She had been holding on to her litter for 188 days after her post ovulation shed. Boas normally give birth 105 days after this shed.
She had 7 slugs, 3 stillborn, and one live neonate.

This is Uno. He has partial striping down his back, and we have decided to keep him.
So this page will follow his progress.

Here is Uno on the day he was born. You can still see his umbilical cord.

We kept the humidity high, and kept him on newspaper until he shed, and the umbilical cord shrivelled up and healed.

First Shed : 2nd August 2008

Uno has shed, and the umbilical cord has completely gone, and has healed perfectly.
We moved him on to aspen, and gave him a bigger hide.

First Feed : 13th August 2008

Uno has finally eaten! He took a mouse pinky, and once that was gone, he was offered a second, and took that one too. He is strike feeding from the start, so this is great for his progress.

First Pinky (There is a head in there somewhere!)

And second pinky. Eaten after a lot of rolling around. He had to make sure it was dead! (It was.. he took defrosted pinkys, which is great!)

16th August 2008 - 2nd Feed

He was looking about a lot, and was very active. So we gave him another feed today.
